Week in Review: The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, D&D News, Keanu Reeves, & Dan Harmon

In this week’s Knights Board #WeekInReview​, we saw the first trailer for upcoming Disney+ show: The Falcon & The Winter Solider. This continuation from Avengers: Endgame will center around The Falcon & Bucky’s perception by the general public-post Captain America: Civil War. We know very little about the plot other than Baron Zemo & Sharon Carter will make a return. The series drops on Disney+ on March 19, 2021.

In Netflix news, we learned that the upcoming Masters of the Universe anime will feature Bear McCreary as the composer. McCreary recently worked on Godzilla: King of the Monsters & God of War “2018.” Masters of the Universe is being helmed by Kevin Smith and features Mark Hamill in the role of Skeletor.

In recent Dungeons & Dragons news, we’ve learned that Michelle Rodriguez and Justice Smith have been cast in the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons film which is slated for 2022 release.

We’ve also learned that Hasbro is reporting a 35% increase in D&D I.P. sales from 2019 to 2020. This is a great increase and shows continued growth of the brand since 5th Edition’s release in 2014.

In Entertainment News, FOX has announced they’ve brought on Dan Harmon to be the showrunner for an upcoming animated show about Ancient Greece. We know little about the premise of the show at this point. You’ll recognize Dan Harmon for his work on Community and Ricky & Morty as Creator and Co-Creator. 

In Gaming News, EA has announced a remaster for the Mass Effect trilogy will be released later this year. Mass Effect Legendary Edition will feature the first three entries remastered in HD and released on Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC. The bundle drops on May 21, 2021.
